It happened to Nancy...

This book to me is one of the most interesting books. It's a really sad story. The character has to go through so much things. That really hurt her life. First she gets raped, she gets the HIV virus, and to end it up she dies. This character doesn't exactly remind me to other ones. I know that there is a lot of cases like these though. Theirs one kind of similar to it. From the movie "Precious". After she was also raped and gets the HIV virus. At the end of the movie though it never shows Precious dying. Other then the book after it does say she dies and were shes burried. Theirs also another book called "Speak", its also kind of related to this book after in the book I'm reading(It happened to Nancy) she gets raped and in speak the girl also gets raped.

I wonder why the author of the book it happened to Nancy changed the setting. In the beginning it said it was to keep privacy. I believe that it would be much better if the story was just as it was. The story would of been much better then if the places were changed. The names were changed. She did have a good reason towards doing that. But its as if your lying to your readers. The other reason why I didnt like that was because I would always be wondering where the real place was actually at.
